Grand Island launches new app to request city services and find information

Imagine if connecting with city services was as easy as using an app on your phone, in Grand Island they don’t have to imagine.

The city launched their new digital companion called Grand Island Connect. Through the app residents can access information, submit service requests to various city offices, and report issues they may see in the community.

Grand Island Police Chief Kevin Denney said the app will help them better serve the city’s residents.

“Everybody’s looking to do their job and do it as efficiently as possible, and this communication allows them to get notification about things such as abandoned vehicles, or parking issues, minor crime issue, and allows them to go out there and deal with it as efficiently as possible,” Denney said.
