Privacy Policy for Resident Users
We value your privacy. We do not share, sell, or trade your personal information with outside parties. All data collected is used solely to provide and improve our services. Your information is securely stored and accessible only to authorized personnel within our company.
Information submitted on interactive forms to our government customers is only accessible to the customer that you are submitting to. Please be advised that much governmental data, like service requests, may be retrieved by federal and state public record laws.
Location Services Policy
Our web and mobile applications may request access to your location data to provide location-specific functionality, such as identifying and processing service complaints based on your geographic location. This use of location services complies with app store guidelines and User Data policies. We collect location data only when you explicitly grant permission through your device’s settings or browser prompt, and we use it solely to enhance the accuracy and relevance of the usage of our product and your submissions. You may deny or revoke access to location services at any time via your device settings or browser preferences, though this may limit certain features, such as precise complaint mapping.
Account Deletion, Retention & Public Records
By creating or logging into a user account on the GOGov platform (including through a third-party provider such as Microsoft, Google, Apple, or Meta), you acknowledge that your account exists solely to facilitate interactions with our participating government agencies. All information submitted, collected, or generated through the platform is maintained on behalf of those agencies and may constitute official public records under applicable state or local law.
Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the GOGov mobile app or web portal. Account deletion is immediate and removes your login credentials and access to the platform.
Because all associated data is maintained on behalf of government agencies, GOGovApps does not have independent authority to delete, anonymize, or modify that data. Any information you submit or generate remains subject to the agency’s legal retention, archiving, and disclosure obligations under public-records laws.
Follow these instructions to delete your account:
Mobile App : from the mobile app, click on the menu button in the top left corner of the app home screen. Choose “Profile” and at the bottom of the page, click the button “Delete My User” and then confirm.
User Profile Page :from any public resident portal, click on your Avatar menu located in the top-right and select “My Account”. Scroll to the bottom of your account page and click the link titled “Delete My Account” and then confirm.
Public Records Limitation
By using the platform, you agree and understand that:
- Information you provide may become part of a government agency’s public record;
- Such information cannot be deleted or modified through GOGovApps; and
- Any questions or requests regarding that data must be directed to the relevant agency.
Cookies Policy
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (collectively, "Cookies") on our SaaS platform to enhance your user experience, maintain session integrity, and deliver personalized features. These include essential cookies required for core functionality, such as authentication and secure logins; performance cookies that help us analyze site usage patterns to improve service reliability; and optional marketing cookies that enable tailored content recommendations and retargeting across devices. By continuing to use our services, you consent to our use of Cookies as outlined herein. We do not sell your Cookie data and adhere to applicable data protection laws.
SMS & Voice Notifications
The GOGov Citizen Notification service enables civic organizations, government agencies, or other entities to communicate seamlessly to their customers/constituents via SMS and VOICE.
By opting into a customer’s campaign, you agree to receive text messages and/or Voice calls from the customer regarding the topics specified in the form or sign-up message. You also agree to any charge incurred from your phone service provider for sending or receiving voice messages. Message and data rates may apply, and the frequency of messages will vary by customer.
It is important to note that the numbers you subscribe to are used only by the local government or agency that you have subscribed to for notifications. It is important to note that the text & voice alerts you receive come from your local government and not from the company GOGov.

SMS Opt-In
Opt-In: Users that wish to subscribe may do so by texting “JOIN” to the advertised phone number or short code. You will then receive a message confirming the action and with instructions on how to opt-out.
Opt-In by Invitation: Users may enter their phone number into a webform in which an SMS invitation will be sent to the phone number. User must reply “JOIN” to confirm the sign-up and then will receive a message confirming the action and with instructions on how to opt-out. Invitation SMS messages are governed to prevent abuse by limiting the number of invitations that can be sent to a submitted phone number within a period.
Opt-Out: You may opt-out of all communications at anytime by texting “STOP”. You will receive a final message to confirm that you have unsubscribed.
Support: At any time, you may text “HELP” to receive service information and instructions.
Voice Opt-In
Opt-In by Call: Users that wish to subscribe may do so by calling the advertised phone number and following the menu prompts to subscribe (Press 1). You will then receive a voice confirmation and instructions on how to opt-out.
Opt-In by Invitation: Users may enter their phone number into a webform and if the number is incapable of receiving SMS, then a VOICE call will be initiated to the phone number. A voice prompt will prompt you to confirm by Pressing 1 to join the service and you will receive a message confirming the action. Voice invitations are governed to prevent abuse by limiting the number of invitations that can be sent to a submitted phone number within a period.
Opt-Out: You may opt-out of all communications at anytime by calling the advertised phone number and following the menu prompt (Press 9). You will receive a final message to confirm that you have unsubscribed.
Age Ratings
Our platform provides SMS-based services and mobile applications, each with distinct age restrictions to ensure safe and appropriate use in compliance with applicable regulations, including app store requirements from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and child privacy laws.
Our SMS-based services are not intended for users under the age of 18.
Our Mobile Apps are not intended for users under the age of 16.
We do not allow our customers to target minors with adult content including, but not limited to, gambling, firearms, tobacco and alcohol. Customers doing so would be violating our terms of use and may be deactivated.

These external links are typically configured by our government customers and are provided for your convenience and informational purposes only.
