About Palmdale

The Aerospace Capital of America

Located in the heart of northern Los Angeles County, the City of Palmdale spans an impressive 106 square miles and is organized into five distinct districts. With a population of roughly 167,000 residents, Palmdale is a large, dynamic and growing community.

Known as the "Aerospace Capital of America," Palmdale combines its rich aerospace legacy with a thriving community focused on family-friendly programming, outdoor recreation and innovative economic development in the scenic Antelope Valley. The City's dynamic growth shapes Palmdale's character and creates unique opportunities for its teams to serve the community's evolving needs.

What Challenges Led Palmdale to GOGov?

Outdated Systems and Growing Case Volumes

Before partnering with GOGov, the City of Palmdale was facing a growing volume of cases and needed a more effective way to manage and document its code enforcement efforts. Their existing processes made it difficult to capture fieldwork accurately and consistently, and the team knew they needed a centralized system to improve efficiency.

Palmdale also wanted to streamline how residents report issues. The city recognized that a modern, user-friendly reporting tool could make communication easier for the community while helping staff deliver faster and more transparent responses.

Finding the Right Solution

The search for a solution began as the team evaluated platforms capable of streamlining both Citizen Request Management (CRM) and Code Enforcement operations. GOGov's strong reputation — along with its established partnership with a vendor the city already worked with — made the decision clear. GOGov stood out as the right fit to help Palmdale modernize its processes.

How Palmdale Is Using GOGov Today

Integrated CRM and Code Enforcement Workflow

Palmdale currently uses two GOGov products — Citizen Request CRM and Code Enforcement — which work together to support a smooth, end-to-end workflow for resident reporting and case management.

On the CRM side, residents submit reports or concerns directly through the platform. Each request is reviewed by Palmdale's administrative team, who verify the address, confirm the issue and determine whether it falls under Code Enforcement or Parking Enforcement. Once validated, staff seamlessly convert the CRM request into a Code Enforcement case.

From there, the case is assigned to an officer who manages the full inspection and enforcement process using the Code Enforcement module. Having both tools connected allows officers to track activity, document updates and communicate progress all within a single, unified system.

Streamlined Operations and Faster Response Times

Staff have already seen strong internal wins since adopting GOGov. Team members consistently praise how much more streamlined and modern the system feels compared to previous platforms, which were often outdated, cluttered or required excessive clicking through multiple pages.

These improvements have translated into real-world impact. By having a more efficient workflow, Palmdale's team has been able to increase response times and close out cases more quickly, giving residents faster resolutions and helping staff stay ahead of rising service demands.

Measuring Success & Future Plans

Data-Driven Case Management

Palmdale tracks its success with GOGov primarily through the open versus closed case reports available in the Code Enforcement module. By continuously monitoring these metrics, the City has seen a gradual increase in the number of cases closed compared to prior systems, demonstrating the platform's effectiveness in helping staff manage and resolve issues more efficiently.

Comprehensive Performance Metrics

In addition to case closure trends, the city also evaluates performance using a variety of other metrics and insights—such as response times, types of violations received, geographic distribution of cases and workload distribution among officers. These data points help Palmdale identify emerging patterns, allocate resources more effectively and make informed decisions that support ongoing improvements in community services.
